With the help of a string construction, that holds the body by tension in the desired position, the lamp can be adjusted as you like. The six ball bearings allow a frictionless movement of the lamp. Some technical details are deliberately visible in order to integrate the user into the movement. A continuous wire connects the wheels in the lamp base and the wheels of the upper bracket. The wire is always under tension and thus holds the lamp in position. The wire does not move at all, only the wheels run on the wire and bring the lamp into position.
